KarmaStars Monthly: February 2012

February begins with the major transit of Neptune moving into Pisces from February 4th 2012 – March 30th 2025, when it moves into the sign of Aries. This transit represents an era of major change from microcosm to macrocosm; everyone will be affected in some way, shape or form. Below is a detailed description outlining the course of events that occurred the first time Neptune moved into its own sign; world events, inventions, discoveries were all highlights of this planetary movement, heralding both evolution and growth.

NEPTUNE IN PISCES

Neptune officially began its transit into Pisces on April 4th 2011 – August 6th 2011. This is quite monumental on an individual and a world level. Neptune was first discovered September 23rd 1846 and takes 165 years to go around the Sun. Neptune is an extremely mystical sign and is the ruler of Pisces, therefore it will be coming “home’ to its own sign. Neptune in Astrology is also the ruler of the 12th house, the last house of the zodiac and a house of “endings,” the others being the 4th house ruled by Cancer and the 8th house ruled by Scorpio. Neptune is a higher vibration of love than Venus; it symbolizes illusion, delusion, escapism, intuition, spirituality, artistic creativity, sentiment, compassion, imagination, indecisiveness, impracticality and receptivity, the hidden, sorrow and self-undoing. How these characteristics have effect largely depends on each person’s response to the energy or the transit.

When the very first Neptune transit occurred in 1846, tremendous advancement and change manifested in the world. The communist manifesto was first published in a response to inhumane conditions in expanding cities where new factories were growing, as a result of steam power and industrialization. Revolution in France resulted in abandonment of the monarchy. On a creative level, Charles Dickens wrote his first novels of social reality, while social democratic demonstrations spread throughout Europe. Artists such as Renoir, Gaugin, Van Gogh, Cezanne and Monet initiated the Impressionist Period. Darwin’s theory of Evolution challenged orthodox religion’s view of Creation. The first photographs were taken, which then led to the advent of film. Anesthetic and Chloroform were discovered and first used in hospitals. Opium also became a popular drug of use. At the same time, Spirituality took shape and form in March 1848 with the famous Fox Sisters and phenomena that took place in their house. They discovered the noises and “communications” they experienced were because of the skeleton of a murdered peddler hidden in the cellar of their house. Word of this and their ability to “communicate” with Sprit spread and gave birth to Spiritualism (see info below).

Ultimately the world is about to change because it needs to move forward spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Anything on an individual or world level that does not respond to the signs of this transit and the Universe will be “dissolved” by the influence of Neptune over the next 13 years. Stagnation, oppression, corruption, greed in any form will find it hard to survive. Transformation of existing business and banking structure is inevitable, as the focus shifts to the suffering of humanity and those less fortunate, in conjunction with a greater need for spirituality. It is therefore important to pay attention to the signs in one’s own life of where change needs to happen, internally or externally, so that there is consistent smooth movement forward with the Universe, individually and on a mass level, otherwise the outcome may not be so pleasant. Dealing with reality and not falling into delusion is another issue to be aware of as the Neptune in Pisces transit will “dissolve” this over time. For those that have been “hidden” in the background, with something worthwhile to share with the others and the world, this is their time to be recognized and be of service to humanity, from a perspective of having a desire and willingness to help others. To affirm one’s ability to care about the less fortunate is the challenge. Therefore, if this affirmation as follows can be remembered by at least some: “To the degree I see another’s worthiness of prosperity, I too am prosperous. Another’s need is my command; my needs are already the command of the Infinite.” These are the people that will benefit most in the years to come and are likely to survive the “winds of change.” They will come to realize and experience their true purpose in life.
